With all the new action cameras hitting the market at CES, I almost forgot about the GoPro Hero 8 and the new mods they still have yet to release. This was the first time seeing the mods and was excited to see how they work and look. My first impressions was that all the mods look nice and clean attached to the Hero 8. They allow you to convert your action cam into a vlogging rig. My main concern is that all these mods not only make it more cumbersome to carry, are pricey, but also make the rig a lot larger. Plus, when attached, these attachments are not meant to take a beating as they will most likely just snap off and break. With all the action cameras now integrating a front and back screen, this accessory would have been really cool early 2019 and not something released in 2020. I’ll be sure to give a full review once they are released.
